Ordinary Level
Candidates for degree into Four-Year degree programme in Sociology and Anthropology should possess the Senior School Certificate (SSCE) or Ordinary Level General Certificate of Education (GCE) organized by the West African Examination Council (WAEC) or National Examination Council (NECO) or their acceptable equivalents with a minimum of five credit passes obtained at not more than two (2) sittings. The five credits must include: English, Mathematics and credit passes in either Government, Economics, Geography, and any other two subjects.
U.T.M.E SUBJECTS
The required UTME subjects are: English, Government, Economics, and any other Art or Social Science subject
GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS FOR THE FOUR YEAR DEGREE PROGRAMME
To graduate, a student must have at minimum:
a. Completed and passed a total 151units comprising:
100 Level – 37 units
200 Level – 42 units
300 Level – 36 units
400 Level – 36 units; including all compulsory courses specified by the University/Department.
b. Completed and met the standards for all required and optional courses.
c. Obtained a minimum CGPA 1.5 and
d. Met other requirements that may be prescribed by the Department, College, and University Senate from time to time.
